ABOUT

YOU MADE IT TO PUSH ANIMAL. THANKS FOR VISITING!

I’m Lindsay, the animal behind this thing. I’m an endurance sports junkie, a copywriter, a storyteller, a world traveler, a weekend photographer, and a Buffalo native living in Tampa, FL. My favorite things in the world are: laughing until I cry, long bike rides, hot and sweaty runs, great coffee mixed with deep conversations, soaking up some sun, and the Rich Roll podcast.

And maybe I look familiar to a few of you? From 2008-2016, this place had a different face. It was called “a runnaroundd life.” It began as a hobby; I shared my weekends, workouts, vacations, recipes, my first real and true relationship…and then the crippling end of it. Eventually, like me, the blog had no life, and no real direction. It began as a want-to and morphed into a have-to. At the end of 2016 I pulled the plug and trashed every post I had ever written, photos and all. I didn’t feel anything at the end of that year, but I felt that. And it felt good. Starting PUSH ANIMAL feels even better.

SO, WHAT’S WITH THE NAME?

It’s juicy, right? A little raw, a little meaty. It’s a two-parter.

PUSH comes from my mom. She’d tell my sister and me, “Push out of the turn,” when we were learning how to drive; lean into the turn and accelerate out of it. Now, it’s my anthem when life gets messy, and forward is the only direction.

ANIMAL comes from my former college cross country coach. He’d shout, “Be an animal, Lindsay!” when a girl was on my tail and I needed to find another gear. He knew which buttons to press to get me fired up, and that was one of them.

SO, WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

We’re gonna talk about the sweat, the suffer, the grit, the gear, the food—hello—where to go after a heartbreak, and so much more. I’ll tell some stories, share some feels and some failures, and push some boundaries because that’s what a PUSH ANIMAL does. Are we pumped?

I’M SO HAPPY YOU’RE HERE, AND I HOPE YOU STICK AROUND.
